Spirit Week brings students together
The week of September 19th was different from any other. It was Spirit Week. Spirit week is a week that brings students together with fun, daily activities and themes. The week kicked off Monday with ‘Color Wars’. The middle school grades wore the color red, while each high school grade had different colors. The seniors wore black, juniors wore white, and sophomores showed off some green. As for the freshman, “I love how ALL the freshman are wearing pink” exclaimed Sierra Wilson, finding delight in the day.
With red, white and blue everywhere you turned, Tuesday gave students the chance to show love for their country. On Tuesday’s ‘America Day’, students showed their national pride by showing off their red, white, and blue clothing. Kayleigh Hendy exclaimed, “This makes me feel so patriotic!”
Wednesday was ‘Tacky Tourist Day’, and many people wore sunglasses, flip flops, and Hawaiian shirts. Some people really played the part. For example, a few students even brought luggage! “Today was awesome,” declared seventh grader Michael Martinez. ‘Tacky Tourist Day’ was certainly delightful!

Thursday was a student favorite: Pajama day. Many pupils were looking forward to this day of relaxation. Everyone looked (and I’m sure felt) comfortable. “I always love pajama day!” Cwen Cole confirmed. Students seemed to have an absolute blast!
Friday was jam-packed with festivities. Students showed their school spirit by wearing Spartan jackets, shirts, and more! At the end of the day, there was an amazing pep rally attended by the entire school. After school, students participated in a phenomenal Homecoming!
Everyone had tons of fun, and students are already looking forward to next year!
