Leo Club holds “Color Run”

Leo Club holds Color Run

On October 14, the Leo club held its first event of the year called the “Color Run”.  Many enthusiastic Spartans showed their support as they ran a mile-long course while eager Leo club members tossed colored chalk at their white T-shirts. It was a fun-filled event that raised money for Loaves and Fishes in New Milford. Loaves and Fishes works to provide meals for the homeless in the New Milford community.

The Leo Club is a new addition to the long list of clubs in this school. It began meeting last year and is led by dedicated senior, Kathleen Sinatra with assistance from vice president, Tierney Kovacs, and treasurer, Olivia Moore.  The mission of this club is to answer the call to citizenship and participate in various community service events through its affiliation with the Washington Lions club.

When asked about her goals for the club this year Olivia Moore enthusiastically described her high hopes for the year, “We have a great group of hard workers who are ready to reach out to the community in anyway possible, it should be a great year.” Keep an eye out for other events held by the Leo club this year.
